Jewell Seacrist Obituary

Jewell R. Seacrist VIRGINIA BEACH - Jewell R. Seacrist, 87, passed away Feb. 21, 2009. A native of Jeffrey, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lora Hager and the widow of Davies G. Seacrist. She retired as a bookkeeper at Cox High School. She was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Anne Morris and husband Chris of Martha, Okla.; her son, D. Gregory Seacrist Jr. and wife Donna of Mooresville, N.C.; a sister, Lois Meadows of Nashville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, with the Rev. Gene Meek officiating. The entombment will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
