If you put all of the qualities together to sum up the ideal Grandpa, he had them all. I will miss his pockets full of gadgets and gizmos. I will miss his quiet mischievous smile. I will miss his generous heart. I will miss the need to watch my plate during prayer. I will miss the smell of his tools. I will miss more things than I could ever name. He was a gentle rock and a gift to anyone who passed his way. I will always practice the face and wubbly noise and always fall short of the perfection with which he rendered them. I will always drink my coffee hotter than I should. I will always turn my biscuts upside down before adding the gravy. I will always keep my gas tank full in the winter. I will always pause to watch a John Wayne movie. I will always read to many book. I will always steal the last jelly bean. I will strive to love my family half as much as he loved us. I will always love him a little bit more for bringing us Pat. He broke the mold. We have been spoiled. And it will always hurt just a little bit. I miss you Grandpa. xo
