I remember working with Ed in the Detective Bureau many years ago. Ed was a “Giant” of a man. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” May God bless this family in their time of sorry.

I was saddened to hear about Ed's passing. I worked with Ed early in my police career in an undercover sting operation. We also crossed paths after the operation. Ed was a first class guy and a good cop. They don't make 'em like Ed any longer. RIP Ed, and my condolences to the family.

Ret VA Beach Police/ I have many fond memories of Ed working with many of us old timers, but he was one of the best and will be missed by many. Another great Veteran, and follow up police officer who served his country and community well. God Bless his memories and ease the pain of his family and friends. Jerry Fenske

Judy and family:

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Ed back in the early '80's when I was with the Virginia State Police. He was always quick witted, and a good cop. He will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
