Not sure what to say?

Good Police Officer/Detective and friend. Peace with him and his family.

I remember working with Ed in the Detective Bureau many years ago. Ed was a “Giant” of a man. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” May God bless this family in their time of sorry.

I was saddened to hear about Ed's passing. I worked with Ed early in my police career in an undercover sting operation. We also crossed paths after the operation. Ed was a first class guy and a good cop. They don't make 'em like Ed any longer. RIP Ed, and my condolences to the family.

Ret VA Beach Police/ I have many fond memories of Ed working with many of us old timers, but he was one of the best and will be missed by many. Another great Veteran, and follow up police officer who served his country and community well. God Bless his memories and ease the pain of his family and friends. Jerry Fenske

You have my deepest sympathy.

Retired VA. Beach PD/current State of AZ Investigator and fellow Red Sox fan from my roots in Norwood, Ma.

Ed and Chuck shared an office with the Crime Prevention Unit. I truly enjoyed talking with Ed . The police department and the city were truly blessed to have had him. He will be missed.

Judy,
We are so sorry we can't be with you but your know we are there in our hearts. All our love and prayers.
Can't think of Giants,Red Sox or Marines without thinking of him.

You are in our thoughts and prayers. Ed was a wonderful person and "one of the best" who ever served on the Virginia Beach Police Department.

Judy and family,
I worked with Ed at the 2nd Pct when he first left the Det. Bureau. I worked for one of his dear friends, my first Sgt Bob Meeks. He was truely one of the good guys. Ed will be missed by all.
