Bill, I am sure that you were very proud of your dad and that he was a wonderful father and loved his country, animals, and so much more. What a full life he lived. We will continue to keep you in our prayers during this time. God Bless,

Bill,
My prayers and thoughts go out to you and yor family during this time of the loss of your father. One of the few remaining veterans from our Greatest generation. My Dad served on the USS Tennesse (BB 43) after it was repaired as a USMC aid to Vice Adm. Oldenforf during WW2. My Godfather retired from the USN after 30+ years and served on the USS San Jacinto (CVL 30) (with future President George H.W. Bush) through out WW2. That said, (after reading your Dads' obituary) I'll bet he nver complained about the sacrifices he made during WW2. And probably rarely if ever mentioned the pain involved with his battle with cancer. I think that it's very fitting that he be buried at Arlington National Cemetary.

My Condolences to you and the rest of your family Bill. It sounds like your Dad was a very interesting and involved guy. I hope your sorrow for his passing will be tempered by celebration and thanks for the full live of a great Dad. I'm sure he is proud if he knows the high regard your coworkers and friends have for you.
