Ward Tenney Obituary

Ward Browning Tenney CHESAPEAKE - Ward Browning Tenney, 50, of the 3100 block of Misty Hollow Court, passed away March 1, 2009, in his home. Born in Charlotte, N.C., Ward was a registered nurse. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; three daughters, Brittany Adams of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Rebekah and Stephanie Tenney of Chesapeake; a son, Aaron Tenney; his mother, Mary South Tenney; and four brothers, Jerome Jr. of Smithfield, Va., Jeffery La Habra, California, James of Glendora, Calif., and Noel of Honolulu, Hawaii. He was predeceased by his father, Jerome Tenney. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday in Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Michael Boehling officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com.
