Sandra Torreyson Obituary

Sandra C. Torreyson FREDERICK, Md. - Sandra Catherine Torreyson, 61, passed away March 1, 2009, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Louis E. Torreyson Jr. Born Feb. 8, 1948, in Crosby, N.D., she was the daughter of the late Carl and Catherine Osvold. She worked in the ICU as an LPN at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She previously worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in North Dakota, Riverside Hospital in New Port News, Va., and in the dialysis and renal unit at Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore. She loved jewelry, stones, cooking and her dog, Tundra. Most importantly, she loved and cherished her grand babies. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Frederick. In addition to her loving husband Louis, she is survived by five children, Dawn Baxter, Tonya Sisk and husband Nick, Lanae Tanner and fiancé Ron, Jesse Torreyson and fiancée Crystal and Louis Torreyson III; her grand babies, Brandi, Katie, Ryan, Michael, David, Jacob, Logan, Ethan and Austin; three brothers, Fred Osvold, Joseph "Skeeter" Osvold and Harris Osvold. She will also be remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Allen; brothers, Greg, Frank, Donny, Charles and Jim; and her sisters, Mary and Geraldine. The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held at the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Zittle officiating. Interment will be in Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery Monday, March 9, at noon. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O.
