William A. Fox

William A. Fox VIRGINIA BEACH - William Allan Fox, 85, passed away March 4, 2009, after a brief illness following surgery at Bayside Sentara Hospital in Virginia Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irma and his two brothers, John Fox and Edwin Fox. Mr. Fox is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Catherine Fox; a daughter, Suzanne Moffitt of Naperville, Ill.; three sons, William Fox of Conifer, Colo., Allan Fox of Falls Church, Va., and Stephen Fox of Quinton, Va. He was cherished by his five grandchildren, Heather Fox and Shannon Fox of Falls Church, Jordan Fox and Jackson Fox of Quinton and Robert Moffitt of Naperville. Mr. Fox was a veteran of World War II and served honorably in the Army Air Corps in the China, Burma and Indian theatres. He lived for many years in Falls Church and Springfield, Va., where he was a district manager for H&R Block and later owned a tax service, The Tax Office. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be remembered with much love and affection. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Haygood United Methodist Church, 4713 Haygood Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
