Mary C. Cutts HAMPTON, W.Va. - Mary Jeanette Champion "Noney" Cutts, 90, went home to her Lord June 11, 2009. Born in Harnett County, North Carolina, March 19, 1919, a daughter of the late George Warwick and Mattie McKenzie Thompson Champion. To all her friends in Norfolk and around the country, we can all agree that Mrs. Cutts will be greatly missed by all who have been blessed with her quick smile, charity and love. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Cutts; also by two daughters, Charlotte Cutts and Mary Hanrahan; and two brothers, George and Harold Champion. She is survived by her sister, Katharine Champion Kinton and husband Robert and many nephews and nieces of Harnett County, North Carolina; four grandsons, Tim and Billy Hearld and Erik Murray, all of Norfolk, and Patrick Hurley of Austin, Texas; two great-grandsons, Nathan Hearld and wife Ava of Chesapeake and Justin Hearld of Norfolk; great-great- grandchildren, Courtney and Kyle Hearld of Chesapeake and five others in Texas. She is also survived by her longtime dear friend and caregiver, Robyn Ozols of Hinton, W.Va. Services will be conducted at a later date in Harnett County, North Carolina.
