Jason and girls, Though I did not know you, I was one of many kids who knew Denise from elementary school through Princess Anne. Mary and I were (are) best friends and some of my fondest memories are of the DiNardo siblings, particularly Denise who had a special place in my heart. My prayers are with you.

Both your strength and courage has been an inspiration for me to see. Never loosing the faith so nessesary at a time when being so challenged. I will always remember Denise as one of my favorites, always inspiring me to give it all I had during a class at the gym. Her beauty goes way beyond the physical and will live on forever.

My relationship with Denise started as one of coach / athlete. She had all the natural talents of a seasoned athlete. Her leadership qualites kept her ahead of the pack. Everyone wanted to be on her team: in school, in life, and at war with cancer.

Denise loved her family and especially her girls. She often spoke of her pride in their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom. About 3 weeks ago I saw her at a field hockey league game. She was "business as usual"....asking about my life and my girls. Always putting others first.

Still busy, she's leading the way for us---help us find a cure. We owe it to Denise not to give up.
Love to her family,

One of my fondest memories as a child growing up in Thalia was my friendship with the Dinardo family. I will always remember Denise as the older sister who always welcomed her younger brother's friends at the house. I know she showed the same kindness throughout her entire life. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dinardo/Cowan family. Tim, Ned, Stuart, Sean and Matt.

Denise was an inspiration to us all. I had the honor and pleasure playing sports with Denise at Princess Anne High. It seems just like yesterday when Denise, Marion, Kim, Cindy, myself and the rest of the gang were standing on the gym roof painting the Class of 1980's theme " Sailing Toward New Horizons." Denise is now the captain of that sailboat and will be there leading the way for us when it's our turn to make the journey. She always had a way of making you laugh even when the chips were down. Her enthusiasm and energy spread to everyone. My heart goes out to the Dinardo/Cowan Family.

Denise DiNardo Cowan's stpries from friends and family will all be similar in that she was an angel on earth, always willing to share her time and talents patiently with others. I owe her a tremendous debt of gratitude for all her help during the many years we worked together in fitness. She was always the popular instructor everyone loved and could relate to. My admiration goes out to her marriage to Jason and the example of love they always expressed to others. And, her devoted love and patience with her children was that of the ideal mother. She will be missed forever and this world is a better place because of her. Connie Weisberg
