Alfred Wright Obituary

Alfred D. Wright VIRGINIA BEACH - On June 10, 2009, the Lord called Alfred D. Wright home to be with Him. Elder Wright was pastor of New Macedonia UCC in Norfolk for more than 25 years. He was a graduate of Norcom High School, Class of 1955. Elder Alfred D. Wright leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 48 years, Vivian Fayton Wright; his sister, Juanita (Kenneth) Walker; daughters, Daphne Wright-Watkins, Shenell (Raymond) White, Trudy (Charles) Scott, Jewel (Michael) Cherry, and Joi (Wayne) Kirk; and a host of family and friends. Services will be June 16, 2009, at noon in New Life Worship Center, 925 Briar Hill Road. Interment will be in Roosevelt Cemetery. Family will be meeting at 708 Elderberry Court, Chesapeake, VA 23320. Viewing will be from noon to 6 p.m. today, June 14, and all day Monday, June 15. Riddick Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
