Hello to all,
What I remember most about Mr. Bowen was his smile, which always had a devilish, playful nature. He and my father were friends my entire life, and when I look at Grover's obituary, I see my father.
Grover and Jeanette would come to our house in Chesapeake a couple of times a year and swap army stories and share a drink together.
As a little boy, I remember walking up to the two, coming in on the tail end of a bawdy joke, whereupon my Dad would act like he wasn't listening. I didn't get it, but somehow knew it wasn't for little ears.
And Mr. Bowen would be smiling...
Love, DAvid

My dear friend, Darlene,
I have such fond memories of the many stories your Dad told me. I am sure he's entertaining the angels in heaven with his stories now. We'll surely miss him. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Love,
Kathy

Grover wore many hats, but the one he loved the most read: No.1 Grandpa. I will severely miss him.
I love you, Papa. Forever your "Baby Bowen"
