Matthew B. Ellis VIRGINIA BEACH - Matthew B. Ellis, 34, of Hernando, Fla., died May 18, 2009, at his home under the loving care of his family. He was born Feb. 7, 1975, in Norfolk. Matthew moved to Hernando in 2000 from Virginia Beach. He was co-owner of Greenscapes of Inverness, a landscaping company. He loved golf and riding his four-wheeler. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Diane and Bob Atterson of Inverness, Fla.; father, Robert Ellis of Petersburg, Va.; brother, Daniel Paul Ellis of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents, George and Cecile Morissette of Virginia Beach; aunts, Cheryl, Rebecca, Ivy; uncles, Joseph and Gregory; cousins, Cynthia, Jennifer, Stephanie, Danielle, Jennifer, Jim, Andrew, Michelle, Gray, Kenneth and Jillian. Visitation for Matthew Ellis will be held from 2 p.m. to the hour of service Saturday, June 20, at Calvary Assembly of God in Virginia Beach. A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for Friends for Matthew at Town Bank.
