Annie Staton Obituary

Annie L. Staton SUFFOLK - Annie L. Staton, 67, of the 6400 block of Aberdeen Place, passed away June 13, 2009, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Annie was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Norfolk. She retired from the Norfolk public school system. She was a member of Abyssinia Baptist Church, Norfolk, where she served in the Senior Choir, Women's Auxiliary, and on the Missionary Board. She is survived by two daughters, Felecia A. Greggs of Suffolk and Markeisha V. Rochelle of Fort Meade, Md.; two sons, James M. Williams Jr. and Ernest L. Williams, both of Norfolk; three sisters, Loretta H. Johnson of Chesapeake, Michelle Credle, and Renee Credle, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one brother, Kevin Credle of Brooklyn; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Abyssinia Baptist Church, 2816 Colley Ave. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. Family and friends will assemble at the home one hour prior to service for procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby St. Chapel, is in charge.
