Frances Hattaway Obituary

Frances Hattaway PORTSMOUTH - Frances Russell Brock Hattaway, 91, passed away June 16, 2009. She was a native of Portsmouth, a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, and a Past Matron of Fellowship Chapter No. 140 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a manager of Cooperative Association for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Mrs. Hattaway was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Hardwick Hattaway; daughter, Mary Lee Hicks; and a brother, Clyde Lee Brock Jr. She is survived by three grandchildren, William Russell Hicks and his wife Phyllis, Susan Carol Hicks, Holly Lynn Brinkman and her husband Todd; two great-grandchildren, Tom and Lee Brinkman; and a brother, David "Jack" Brock. A funeral will be held Tuesday, June 23, at 2 p.m. in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. The family will receive friends Tuesday for an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Condolences can be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com.
