Barton Scott Obituary

Barton W. Scott CHESAPEAKE - Barton Winfield Scott, 51, of the 500 block of Copeland Drive, died June 27, 2009, in Chesapeake. A native of Norfolk, he was the son of Mrs. Doris Carver Thrasher of Chesapeake and the late Claude S. Scott. He was a graduate of Great Bridge High School, attended Virginia Wesleyan College, and was a dialysis technician with the DaVita Dialysis Center. Besides his mother, he is survived by a sister, Claudia Smith and her husband Fred; a brother, Herbert M. Thrasher and his wife Marcia all of Chesapeake; and nieces and nephews, Chandler and Cameron Thrasher, Donna O'Neal and Angela Santaniella. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Virginia, 1742 E. Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23228 or the American Heart Association, 500 Plume St., Suite 110, Norfolk, VA 23510.
