Dennis Lassiter Obituary

Dennis C. Lassiter SUNBURY - Dennis Corbell Lassiter, 62, of the 300 block of Water Swamp Road, died Saturday, June 27, 2009, in Chapel Hill, N.C. He was born in Suffolk, the son of the late Maywood Corbell and Mildred Pierce Lassiter, and was the husband of Mrs. Barbara Clay Lassiter. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Sunbury. Along with his wife, Mr. Lassiter is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Anne Lassiter of Chapel Hill, N.C.; a brother, Charlie R. Lassiter of Sunbury; and a host of other family members and friends too numerous to list, all of whom loved him very much. A service to honor Mr. Lassiter will be held Thursday, July 2, at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Episcopal Church with the Rev. John F. Eberman officiating. Burial will take place in the prayer garden. The family will be receiving friends at their home Wednesday, July 1, from 2 until 4 p.m. and immediately following the service in the church Parish House. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Caring House, 2625 Pickett Road, Durham, NC 27705. Twiford's Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church St., Elizabeth City, is assisting the Lassiter family. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.twifordfh.com.

I am so sorry to learn of Dennis's death. My husband, GT Williams, went to school with him and also worked at CF Industries at the same time with him. Please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
