Burnell Naes Obituary

Burnell Joseph Naes SUFFOLK - Burnell Joseph Naes, 88, widower of the late Helen Lorena Naes, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009. Born May 18, 1921, in Kimmswick, Mo., he was the son of the late Joseph P. and Mamie Naes. He was a resident of Churchland House and a member of the Church of the Resurrection. Mr. Naes was a member of the Missouri Society of Engineers, and most recently held the position of parts manager at National Engine Co. Burnell is survived by his loving family including his daughter, Carol Sue Von Rump and husband David of Suffolk; three granddaughters, Dana D'Amato and husband Mark of Richmond, Cynthia Jones and husband Richard of Great Britain, Deborah Jarman and husband Paul of Portsmouth; and great-granddaughter, Michaela D'Amato of Richmond. All services will take place in St. Louis where Mr. Naes will be laid to rest beside his wife in Resurrection Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the care of Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216. Condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.
