E. Gean Daniels PORTSMOUTH - Emma Gean Daniels, 85, who was born in Junior, W.Va., departed this life Monday, June 29, 2009, to be with her predeceased husband, sweetheart and friend, Stanley Brooks Daniels. She loved the hills of West Virginia and reminiscing about her childhood memories on the farm. Gean loved family gatherings and caring for her animals. She always enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, crafting, and traveling. Gean leaves behind to cherish many wonderful family memories her three children, Michael Daniels, Shona Griffin, and Peggy Griffin. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Meagan, Ryan, Lindsey and Lorey, as well as her great-grandchild. She is also survived by loving sons-in law, Mile Griffin and Tim Griffin; her sister, Freda Nutter of Morgantown, W.Va.; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Williamson of Sanford, N.C.; and the many wonderful friends and neighbors she has met along the way. Her love will be greatly missed and always remembered. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Dr. Dwight Buchholz. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
