Dear Family,
Donnie was my Direct Sales Manager with Alltel, while in Tri-Cities, TN. What a special man that cared deeply for his family and every person on our team. He spoke so fondly of his sons and entire family. We are greatly saddened for the loss of a great individual, who made everyone smile just by his presence and personality. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Family,
Our hearts are extremely heavy with the loss of Donnie. I had the privilege of working with him while he was here in East TN. He spoiled me with Reese Cups and my family looked forward to his Christmas cards each year. Sam and Adam, your Dad loved you all so much. He was so proud of both of you and loved sharing the latest adventures. Please know you are certainly in our thoughts and prayers. Your Dad was one who certainly made a difference in the lives of all he met - especially ours. May God bless you each one.

I first met your father when you were just babies through my extended family, the Atkinsons. I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to accept such a sudden and tragic loss. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I wish I could have attended the service but was out of town. I understand some of the emotions you must be feeling as I lost my father last fall after nearly a two year battle with ALS. Donnie and I worked together first at SunCom, then Cingular. He was wonderful to work with and a very loyal friend. He spoke of his children and grandchildren often. Donnie could make anyone laugh with his jokes and stories. Even after we each left Cingular, we stayed in touch. I will miss him dearly.

My prayers and sincere wishes for strength and comfort in this time of sorrow are sent to you.I worked with MR. ROSE at WHS this past year. We parked in the same parking lot and often walked into the building about the same time each morning. He had a story to share every morning to get the day started on a positive note. He often referred to his father in many of his stories about life. He was caring and very sensitive to the needs of our students and faculty. We will truely miss him. God Bless You.

Sam & Adam,
I have had the pleasure of knowing your Dad for the past twenty-four years. I join you in your mourning as I have lost one of my best and closest friends.
Over the past many years, your Dad and I have maintained contact both in person and over the phone. We spoke at least once every several weeks. You need to know that he did love you both very much.
The things I will miss most about your Dad are, of course, his sense of humor (what an amazing wit!) and his generosity. I still carry an engraved money clip he gave me for a Christmas present twenty years ago.
Your Dad was a true friend. He was there for me when my father passed away recently and helped me through a rough time.
Always remember, Donnie Rose was a big man with a very big heart.

I am stunned and saddened that Donnie is gone. I have such vivid memories of his antics when we were young. He was one of my former husband's best friends. He was a kind and thoughtful man and his presence will be missed, especially by his many, many frieds from Cradock. To the family of Mr. Rose - We extend to you our most heartfelt and sincere appreciation for having known and worked with Mr. Rose at Windsor High School for the past year. He loved his new career and all of the students he taught. He was a great team player and supported the students, faculty, and school community in every endeavor. He attended many after-school activities and shared a variety of new experiences with his students. We marveled at his great wealth of knowledge. He was attuned to his students’ needs and had plans to come back do even more during the new school year. It was evident that he believed in establishing a solid foundation. He was indeed an honorable role model. We will miss his infectious smile and his presence in the halls of Windsor High. Please accept our condolences and prayers. Donnie and I have been good friends since early days at Cradock High School. He was an inspiration in football and baseball. He will always be in my memory as one of the greatest. God bless his family.

We loved Donnie so much and are stunned and heartbroken that he is gone. He was always fun and had a heart of gold. We will miss him terribly. Wish now we had told him how much he meant to us. We had dinner with him a few months ago and never dreamed that it would be the last time we would see him. A lesson learned to not take life for granted. When God made Donnie he threw the pattern away. His stories, jokes and tender hearted manner will live on with most of us! Jan & Bill Deal

Our hearts are so saddened by the passing of Donnie, he was a dear friend to Ralph and I, especially Ralph as they talked a couple times a week and Ralph had just talked with him a couple of times as he was heading south and a couple of hours beore crossing the Florida state line. Sam, Adam and your families and to you Carolton and Danny you have lost a prescious part of your life. Our hearts and Prayers go out to you all and we will see you on Tuesday.

I knew Donnie through Tommy Gillette during the Craddock days. Donnie's outgoing personallity always made you feel good about yourself. Recently spoke with him at Anne Gillette's funeral. He will be missed.
