Thomas R. Fisher PORTSMOUTH - Thomas Richard Fisher, 64, of the 400 block of King St., passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009, in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Cindy Fisher. He is survived by a sister, Pat A. Newbern and husband Curtis; a brother, Robert Dean and wife Paula; 11 nieces and nephews; a son, Thomas Richard Fisher Jr.; and a host of other extended family. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 10, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Gary Harley. Burial of his cremains will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
