Patsy Keith Obituary

Patsy Stone Keith CHESAPEAKE - Patsy Stone Keith, 72, died July 3, 2009, in her home, The Berger-Goldrich Home/Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia at Beth Sholom Village in Virginia Beach. Mrs. Keith was born in Loris, S.C., the daughter of a sawmill owner, Cyrus C. Stone and mother, Vera B. Stone. Mrs. Keith retired after more than 30 years as an avid antique dealer and collector. Previously, Mrs. Keith resided in the South Norfolk section of Chesapeake in her home on the 1300 block of Chesapeake Ave., where she was taken care of by her daughter-in-law, Karen D. Clewis, before coming to The Home. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Cecil F. Keith Sr. and her children, Marcus Daniel Lee, Vera Faith Groves and her husband Steven M. Groves, John T. Pross and Paul P. Pross, all from Chesapeake. Mrs. Keith is also survived by her stepchildren, Robin L. Griffin, Janice L. Dalton and her husband Gary Dalton, Patty A. Barnes and Cecil F. Keith Jr., all from Dublin, Va. Mrs. Keith was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Susie M. Cook. Mrs. Keith also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, in Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, Francis Gay Chapel, 1146 Rodgers St., Chesapeake, VA 23324. Cantor Elihu Flax of The Berger-Goldrich Home will officiate. Mrs. Keith was loved and cared for by staff, residents, and the volunteers at The Berger-Goldrich Home and had requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia, 6401 Auburn Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23464. Friends are also invited to send condolences and sign the online guestbook at www.omanfh.com.

We will miss seeing Patsy at Beth Shalom. She was a lovely lady whose enjoyment of music was a delight to behold, and
was always very kind and pleasant to us and our mom. Our deepest sympathy to all of her loved ones.
