Purcell Rogers Obituary

Purcell Rogers NORFOLK - Purcell "Bro" Rogers, 48, of the 800 block of Whitehead St., passed away July 3, 2009, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 19, 1960, in Southampton County, N.C. He was a member of St. Paul Deliverance Christian Center. Purcell was employed with P&L Trucking as a truck driver for 23 years. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Lou Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Minister Lori Rogers; one daughter, Nekisha Moore; four sons, Jerry Davis, Simon Moore, Leon Moore and Diangelo Moore; his father, Zolley Rawls; one sister; four stepsisters; five brothers; 14 stepbrothers; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave. Family and friends will assemble at 812 Whitehead St. one hour prior to service for procession to the chapel. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
