Geraldine Knighton Obituary

Geraldine L. Knighton DALE CITY - Geraldine Lottie Knighton, "Geri," died July 7, 2009, at her daughter's home in Dale City. Geri was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin R. Knighton Sr. and her sisters, Shirley McDonald, Joyce Mills, Mary Ellen Price and Sue Pallant. She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Burton and Linda Steinway; four sons, Ray Knighton Jr., Andy Knighton, Tim Knighton, Tom Knighton; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, June Pallant and Doris McFadden; and her brother, Benjamin Allen. Geri was born and raised in Alexandria, and lived there all of her life. She attended G.W. High School and was a member of the Harvest Pentecostal Church. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today, July 9, at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, VA 22193, where a funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harvest Church, 7401 Beulah St., Alexandria, VA 33215.

Mrs Knighton, The world is a sadder place without you. I will always remember you humor, love of life, and love of your family. I have no doubt that you are already in heaven looking down on your love ones. God Bless you and your family
