Katalin Feher Obituary

Katalin Feher VIRGINIA BEACH - Katalin Feher, 86, went to be with the Lord July 11, 2009. She was born Feb. 5, 1923 in Hungary to the late Jeno and Maria Csaszka. She and her husband immigrated to the United States in 1956 with their four children. Sponsored by the Franklin Baptist Church, the family settled in Franklin, Va. Her hobby was gardening and no matter where she lived she always had a garden. When it came time to retire, Antal and Katalin moved to Florida for their "Golden Years." They moved back to the area in 1997 to be closer to their children. Katalin was described by her family as being a fire ball; they also remembered her as a very giving person with a very kind and sensitive heart. She was preceded in life by her beloved husband of 60 years, Antal Feher Sr. and daughter, Rozsa Parker. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Antal Feher Jr. and wife Rachael of Myrtle Beach, Viola Filter and husband Steven of Norfolk, Ibolya Bettis and husband James of Virginia Beach and Alice Mangum and husband Rodney of Virginia Beach. Katalin was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 31 great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her nephew, Charles Mile and wife Margit of Petersburg, Va. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home in Virginia Beach. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
