Clarence Perry Obituary

Clarence E. Perry VIRGINIA BEACH - Clarence E. Perry, 85, known as Uncle Luck, of the 300 block of Malibu Drive, passed away July 12, 2009. He was a native of Princess Anne County, and retired from New York China Factory. He was member of Upper Room Church on the Rock COGIC; he was an acting deacon, a member of the male chorus and gospel choir. He was a World War II veteran. Mr. Perry was especially known as Mr. Santa Claus or the singing candy man to many of the residents at Luther Manor where he resided. He leave to cherish his memory his wife, Rosa L. Perry; two daughters, Yvette and Carolyn of New York; one brother, Elder William H. Perry; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Upper Room Church on the Rock COGIC, 448 Rudder Road, Virginia Beach, with Pastor William H. Perry and Elder Timothy White presiding. Interment will follow in Saints Rest Cemetery, Virginia Beach. There will be a viewing Wednesday at 4 p.m. and the family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. for remembrance and visitation at Beach Funeral Services Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
