Dorothy Miller

Dorothy M. Miller NORFOLK - Dorothy Mitchell Miller, 92, died July 13, 2009, in a local hospital. She was the daughter of the late George Thomas Mitchell and Sally Walker Mitchell. Born in Franklin County, Virginia, Nov. 5, 1917, she was the widow of Earl Benjamin Miller of Hatteras, N.C. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Mitchell and sister, Mary Mitchell Cunningham. Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughters, Marietta Miller and Patricia Miller White; two granddaughters and one grandson. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Thursday, July 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. A private service will be held Friday at the Mitchell family graveyard at Sontag, Rocky Mount, Va.
