Maurice Thomas Obituary

Maurice S. Thomas NORFOLK - Maurice S. "Rease" Thomas, 56, of the 200 block of W. 32nd St., died July 10, 2009, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He is survived by a mother, Nellie Babb of Suffolk; five sisters, Holley, Sonya, Cora, Sharon, Alice; five brothers, Vincent, Alfred, Richard, Shaun, Allan; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2009, in St. Mark RZUA Church, Colonial Avenue, with Pastor Ben Thomas presiding. Burial will be held in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing Thursday, July 16, 2009, from 3:30 to 8 p.m. The family will assemble at 243 W. 32nd St. at 10 a.m. for the procession. Ms Nellie Babb and Family, may God send his comforter to give you all some peace in this time, or mourning. Maurice was always talking and making people laugh, and I know he will be missed. Also I'm sure he will talking and making jokes in Heaven. May God bless you all and keep you.
