Although I only met Ashley about 4 years ago, I will remember her as a beautiful and sweet young lady. All of my memories of her are good especially the last time when I saw her at Shannon's pool party. We had a wonderful time with family and friends...and we finally convinced Trent to go down the water slide :-). God bless Ashley and her family.

Ashley was able to touch my life like no other child can. She gave me a love for children. She was such a joy to be around. I can remeber skipping school my senior year inorder to keep Ashley while her father was at work. I would like to thank Trenton for allowing us to share her joy and eagerness to learn. We love her and she will be greatly missed.

Ashley was one of the most loyal friends I have ever had. We were there for each other when it mattered most and I will miss her more than I even realize right now. I wish everyone well in enduring and getting through this tragic event.

I did not know Ashley, but my son, Andrew, went to high school with her. He spoke very fondly of her and how special she was to him and many of his friends. I know she must have touched many who are saddened by her passing, but who feel fortunate to have known her. I offer you my condolences and prayers for comfort and peace as you allow God to embrace and comfort you.

Reflections of Ashley are heavy in our hearts and minds; that infectious smile, a thirst for life, love of family, with a graceful stride that invited all to come and experience with her a beautiful journey through life. She remembered her past, lived for the present, and embraced the future with such positive insight of wonderful things to come. Your conversation was continuously upbeat, always a glass half full; your encouragement to others a uplifting gift from God. We see you sitting at the table, with warm food in front of you as your nourished your body and feed your mind with conversation. Although you time on earth was shorter than we expected, your impact on those you touched will bring warmth and joy tomorrow. God called you home early in our eyesight, but he needed you near; knowing your Mother's arms where waiting to hold your near. "Oh My Goodness".

Trenton,Ms.Gloria and Debra, I know Ashley was and is your heartbeat. I remember her always having that bright smile on her face when she was a little girl. What a cutie pie. She loved her siblings and adored Ms. Gloria. One great thing you have Trenton is that everyday you get to see her beautiful face in yours, because lord knows you spit her out. The feelings that come along with losing your "babygirl" probably cannot be expressed in words at this time, but your tears definitely tell their own story of the love and commitment you have to each other. Be comforted in knowing that Ashley knew she was loved greatly when she departed.

Ashley was like a daughter to me. When my daughter Danyale and her were together it was always laughter!

I knew Ashley went I first went to highschool. She always had a different outlook on life then I had. I feel sorry for the people that didn't really get to know her and good of a person she was because their isn't going to be another person like her. I only knew Ashley for a short period of time but in that small time frame she showed me what it was to be a truly joyus person and how to make the best of everyday. she always had a smile on her face and was always lending a helping hand no matter what was being asked of her. She touched a lot of peoples hearts and will be truly missed. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.

To the family of Ashley,
My prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. The year Amaris and Ashley were roommates was Amaris' best year at ODU and I am sure Ashley had a lot to do with that. She was always pleasant, funny, while respectful. She always greeted me with a smile and a hug when I went to visit. She will be missed. May God grant you the peace that transcends all understanding during this time of bereavement.

Ashley was not only my roommate my last year at ODU but she was one of my closest friends. I will never forget the fun times we had at ODU amd will hold on to these memories to get through this tough time. She was truly a beautiful person inside and out and I will miss her smile. My prayers and love go out to her family and friends.
