Joseph Brooks Obituary

Joseph C. Brooks CHESAPEAKE - Joseph C. Brooks of the 1400 block of Cole Drive, passed away Aug. 2, 2009, in Chespeake Regional Medical Center. Joseph was born in Norfolk County to the late Nathaniel and Ola Marie Brooks and was a member of Providence United Church of Christ where he was formerly on the Usher Board. Besides his parents, Joseph was also predeceased by one sister and two brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory, three sisters, Ola B. King (the Rev. Vondell), Vivian S. White (the late Hugh White) and Rosa Givens (Woodrow); one brother, George Sparrow (Ruby); and a host of ther relatives and friends. A homegoing service will be held Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at noon in Providence United Church of Christ with the Rev. Dr. Isaac L. McDondald presiding. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The body will be placed in church Thursday at 10 a.m. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.fitchettfuneralhome.com. Danielle M.
