Val Maynard Obituary

Val Maynard CHESAPEAKE - Val Maynard, 87, resident at Sentara Oak Grove and formerly of Los Angeles, went to be with the Lord Aug. 5, 2009. Survivors include daughters, Annette Bott Miller and Suzanne Harman; son-in-law, Robert "Tuck" Miller; grandsons, Steven (Dawn) and John (Wendy) Bott; great-grandchildren, Kenneth Meeks, Jenna, Ashlyn, Maddie, Sara and Savana Bott; sister and brother, Angeline Russo and Michael (Prudy) Capovilla of Los Angeles and their families; and special family members, Brenda, Jeff, Amanda and Lauren Justice of Austin, Texas. The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, 524 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, Monday, Aug. 10. A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at the funeral home with burial immediately following in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Val can be made to Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia, 5861-A Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
