Steven W. Williams VIRGINIA BEACH - Steven W. Williams, 58, of the 2800 block of S. Sandpiper Road, passed away July 28, 2009, in a local hospital. He was born in Portsmouth, and had graduated from First Colonial High School, Class of 1969, and Wofford College, Class of 1973. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy with 10 years of service. He had most recently worked as manager of the Selections Gifts and Sandpiper Gift Shop in Sandbridge Beach. Survivors include his parents, B.C. Williams Jr. and Carolyn K. Williams of Virginia Beach; brothers, Gregory A. Williams of Alexandria, Va., and C. Bradley Williams of Fredrick, Md. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, B.C. Williams Sr. and Virginia Williams of Portsmouth and Mr. and Mrs. George Klincar of Belleville, Ill. A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 8, in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sandbridge Volunteer Rescue Squad or the American Kidney Foundation.
