Jim English , when I hated everything about church,
was without, any, judgement,
When I am considerate and patient, It is him in me,
I saw him last in Churchland Middle School parking lot,
I was playing tennis-- no idea why I left the courts...
I guess I went to get Water (9 years later) , he stopped and knew, me.
He is my best self.

I'm very sorry about your loss. I've gotten to know Jim very well in the past 2 years working with him on different projects. I must say it was a treat to talk with him about anything... work, friends or family, it didn't matter. He was always willing to listen and share any stories. It was easy to see he was a great man. God bless the entire family.

Mrs. English and family. Please accept my condolences for your great loss. My prayer is that your family and church will wrap their arms around you at this time and in the future. Transitions in life are challenging and we need all of the help we can get. I did not know your son was pastoring in the Mechanicsville area. That is where I have my original roots.

To the bereaved family of James "Jim" English:
May the road ahead be one of strength, perseverance, and good memories to last a lifetime. Jim will be remembered for his kindness to all those who encompassed his daily life. He was definitely a man of God and it showed in his works. Before you could get where you were going, he would often meet you three-quarter way or all the way whenever possible. No job was too large for him or no help was too great for him. May the works he's done speak for him,and may the life he's lived be an inspiration to all.

Lue & Fam, We were so saddened by Jim's passing. You were both an example of what a Christian couple should be back in a time when I was searching for that truth. I know that through these last few years he took a real, personal interest in my dad and really looked out for him on their last mission trip together. We knew dad would be OK because he had Jim with him. Even though we're miles away, we'll miss him terribly. Please know that you have our sincere sympathy. We mourn with you, but rejoice for the man God gave us all to love and appreciate.
