To the Ingebritsen Clan
From the early years of babysitting some of you, I enjoyed Otis' company and friendship. He was a willing tennis opponent for my Dad and an interested and active participant in the MRA (and particularly the pool project back in the late 50's). As an adult, I enjoyed his interesting viewpoints and opinions on the occasions of my visits home to Marlbank.
Otis was truly a good person and will be sorely missed by us all. Best wishes to the family, Clint Spooner

Otis was my godfather and a fixture in my childhood. I will always have wonderful memories of Otis taking us kids waterskiing or working out in his yard while we played on the swing set that he built or playing tennis doubles with Ann and my dad. I was grateful to see Otis one last time 2 years ago after my dad died. Otis was truly a man who filled his life with all things wonderful. God bless you and your family and may you rest peacefully. My thoughts and prayers are with you Kris, Ann and Jo.

Dear Aunt Jo, Ann, Kris and Family,
I was sorry to hear that Uncle Otis has left this world. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. I wonder what type of aircraft he chose to fly up to heaven? I will always remember his smile and sweet personality. One of my fondest memories is him playing the fiddle at a family gathering. May God bless all of you during your time of grief.
Sincerely,

August 16, 2009

My sincerely condolences to Ann, Kris, Mrs. Ingebritsen and his grandchildren. I was very sorry to hear of Mr. Ingebritsen's passing. Not only was he the picture of living life to its fullest (tennis, volunteering, humor) he was a kind and generous man and I enjoyed getting to know him while living in Marlbank during my adult years, since I really didn't know him when I was a kid. After my husband's passing, he was soo kind to give me videos he had taken of Doug and Doug's years working with the swim team. Your dad/husband exemplied what it is to be a part of the Marlbank community. While it saddens me to see these founders of this fantastic neighborhood departing, their community spirit, dedication and friendship shall live in our hearts and minds. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.
