Jim was a great friend to me and my family. I worked with him at The Community Phonebook in Va Beach where I met him. He helped me accomplish my dream to become a Graphic Designer...and once took me on a trip to his brother Mark's house...and we went on a gulfstream fishing trip. I will never forget that roadtrip with him. We loved having him over for cookouts. Every time he saw me...he would start singing "Oh Danny Boy"...He knew how to make you feel special...I am heartbroken he is gone...but I'll see him again one day...

Mr. Aker will be greatly missed, and the Kuchens deepest condolences go to the Aker family. He was a delightful man that would spark a convorsation with anyone about anything. He could always put a smile on your face and loved to be around the ball field. He is now selling tickets at the greatest gates of them all! Hold it down for us, we'll miss you

Our deepest sympathies to the entire Acker family. Jimbo was "one of a kind." He knew how to make people laugh, he enjoyed the sporting events at Pine Forest, was always willing to volunteer and he loved to eat at our concession stands. A smile comes to my face as I think of all the times we shared at the ball fields. He truly will be missed!
