George Watts Obituary

George Michael Watts VIRGINIA BEACH - George Michael Watts, 39, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, after sustaining injuries during a traffic collision. Born July 28, 1970, in New York City, Michael spent his early years in New Jersey. He would later move to Virginia Beach where he lived until his untimely passing. Michael was the son of George Elmer Watts and Claudia Gordon Watts. He was preceded in death by his mother and two half sisters, Wilma Ellis and Elvin Dargan. Michael is survived by his father; two sons, Miles Watts and Mickey Watts; three half sisters, Brenda Wiggins, Renée Spivey, and Bonita Griffin; two brothers-in-law, William Spivey and Gerald Griffin; two nephews, Tracy Wiggins and Jason Ellis; three nieces, Stephanie Buffalow Brown, Fostina Ellis, and Jennifer Ellis; a special friend, Diana Porter; and many other relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at Corprew Funeral Home, 1822 Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth, for a celebration of Michael's life to be held Friday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. Michael will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

I was with Mikey on the bike on August 15, 2009. I didn't know that this day would change our lives forever. I think about you everyday. I miss you so much! I hope that you are resting peacefully and thank you for the precious moments that we shared. Love you Mikey.

we were with him at his house August 15, 2009. grilling and swimming in the pool was a normal afternoon for the three of us. we didnt know that when he rode off into the sunset that we will never see him again. we will always remember mikey...my brother!! im sure he is looking upon us with his mother eating those windmill cookies that he loves so much... he will be truly missed by everyone that loved him.

I spoke with Mike a hour before the accident and he was happy and having a good ol time. Thats how I will always remeber him.I will never forget his laugh and all the talks we had.I will trully miss him and deeply saddened by the news. I wish I could be there to show my respect. My heart goes out to his father and children.
