Virginia Cook Obituary

Virginia L. Cook NORFOLK - Virginia L. Cook, 65, closed her eyes and opened them in the presence of her Lord and Savior Aug. 18, 2009, with her family by her side. Virginia was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee Cook and Patsie Sharpe. Virginia retired from General Foam Plastics after 21 years of service. She is survived by her loving daughters, Patricia Cooke Jones (Tony) of Norfolk, Sandra Cooke of Fairburn, Ga.; one son, Larry Cooke of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one "special sister", Ruth Sivills of Portsmouth; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk.
