Ronald Harris Obituary

Ronald K. Harris PORTSMOUTH - Ronald K. Harris, 65, passed away peacefully at home Aug. 19, 2009, with his family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, MaryAnn Harris; daughter, Lisa Hughes; two sons, Scott Harris and Craig Harris; his loving mother, Betty Jean Meeks; brother, Andrew Meeks; six grandsons and two great-grandsons. He also leaves behind numerous other loving and devoted family members and friends too great to name. The family would like to express their appreciation to niece, Crissy and nephew, Steven for all their love help and support. He was an Army veteran and worked as an electrician after leaving the Army. Later in life, he worked as an automobile salesman. Along with his great love of his wife and family, he loved and enjoyed his cars, especially the fast ones. All who knew him, especially his fellow employees at Prestige Auto Brokers, will miss Ronnie's fast wit and good humor. A celebration of Ronnie's life will be held at the home of his family from 1 to 4 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, is handling the arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com.
