Anne Karr Obituary

Anne P. Karr VIRGINIA BEACH - Anne Pearsall Karr, 85, passed away Aug. 13, 2009, at her residence. Mrs. Karr was born in Geneva, Ill., and resided in Virginia Beach since 1964. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Cmdr. Kenneth R. Karr, U.S. Navy retired; two daughters, Judith K. Osborne and husband David and Patricia K. Taylor and husband Ronald all of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Anna E. Sprague of Seattle and Willard A. Sprague and wife Tina of Suffolk; two great-grandchildren, Dean and Nina Sprague; a brother, William W. Pearsall and wife Margaret of Long Island, N.Y.; a sister, Louise Canby of Hilton Head, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Karr's life will be held Friday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m. in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Robert F. Pittman III. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. You may offer condolences at www.mem.com.
