When we leave this earth, the friendship that we've given and received remains behind to light the lives of those we touched - each memory a candle burning bright.

I knew Bill from working with him at Bank of America and I admired him.

Bill , simply put, was a pleasent , cool, smart person. He was easy going and rather quiet. BUT, he had a few jokes up his sleeve and they would come out of nowhere, and they were funny.

Bill worked for me and he was one of my most dependable people. He is most remembered as a dedicated , friendly and quiet person that had his heart in the right place.

Bill was one of the best co-worker that I ever worked with.
He was polite , well-manered and got his work done without a lot
of fanfare. I never heard him raise his voice at anyone or speak
a derogatory word to any person. BILL was just a good guy

Carmeline, Kyle, Claudia, George and family, today my Dad(Thomas B. Roach) called me to let me know that he had seen the write up about Bill. I was very shocked and saddened to hear about him and my heart goes out to all of you. I have such found memories of Bill going back a long long time(back to kindergarten days in fact), At one time our Mom's were very close and we spent a lot of time together. He was always funny and so kind and we had a lot of good times. May God be with you now and always and give you strength for the days ahead.

Toots - it has been years since I have seen you and Bill, but the memories are strong. I will always remember his patience when I first started working with him, as well as his smile and quick wit. He was a great mentor and will be missed.

Bill was just a lovely man. I got to know him through the years that I worked with Carmeline, and always enjoyed his quick, sweet smile, and his gentle nature. These are the memories I will keep of Bill. Toots, my heart goes out to you and Kyle; there is no way to make this any easier. I will be out of town starting this Thursday, so won't be able to attend any of the services, but you know I will be thinking about you.

Much love, Chana

Toots and Kyle,

Although I had known you for years through work, I hadn't met Bill until one holiday at your house in Brigadoon when you held a "decorate our tree" party. Many years later I had the pleasure of working closely with Bill, got to know him better and realized what an intelligent and gentle man he was. Isn't it odd what creates memories and I am blessed to have met both of you.

I am so sorry for your loss and sincerely hope you both find peace in the many years of memories you shared with Bill. My prayers are with you.

Dear Carmeline and Kyle,

We were so sorry to hear about Bill. As Kyle said, "he won't be so sick anymore from the chemo." I can still see him sitting at the camp fire reading a book as it was crazy around him. Or losing the lawn chairs at the mens room when we were camping. He will be truly missed.
If there is anything that either one of you need anytime of the day or night please don't hesitate to call!!!
Our deepest sympathy,
David, Doris, Erik, and Mark Halapin
