Roseann Beacham

Roseann Beacham KITTY HAWK - Roseann Beacham, 65, of the 1200 block of West Kitty Hawk Road, died peacefully at home Friday, Sept. 4, 2009. A native of New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Norma Teresa Caliaro. Mrs. Beacham moved to Kitty Hawk with her husband Jimmie in 1983 where together, through their hand-crafted Disney holiday scenes, began the tradition of hosting Santa in front of their magically decorated home each Christmas. Mrs. Beacham served on the Kitty Hawk planning board, was chief judge of the Dare County Board of Elections in Kitty Hawk, was an active volunteer with the Meals on Wheels program, as well as being a Master Gardner and participant in the Senior Olympics. Mrs. Beacham is survived by her husband, Jimmie A. Beacham Sr. of the home; two sons, Scott Beacham and wife Robyn of Spring Hill, Fla., Mark Livak and wife Patty of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a daughter, Debra Wilkes and husband Alan of Australia; a stepson, Jimmie A. Beacham Jr. of West Allis, Wis.; and four grandchildren, Bailey Beacham, Landon Livak, Maximillion Wilkes, and Isabella Wilkes. A graveside memorial service will be held at Austin Cemetery in Kitty Hawk Monday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Reginald Parker officiating. The family will meet with friends after the service at the gravesite. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Association for Cancer Research, 615 Chestnut St. 17th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19106 or to the charity of one's choice.
