I am saddened of this news, my deepest sympathy goes out to his family. I was just informed today and it put a chip on my shoulder. I recently graduated from NSU and Mr. Riddick was a huge help in that. Whenever I needed something last minute or needed to see a smile he was always there at the right times. I remember I had a club meeting and the venue had to change he came right in a set everything up for us last minute without a complaint. He will truely be missed. May God be with you through this hard time.

My deapest and heartfelt sympathy goes out to you Marion on this sad occasion. I am reminded that just a few weeks ago I saw "Slack" over at NSU when my daughter (Kornisha) was going through orientation. He saw me walking across the campus and yelled out hi and asked who is going to school here. I said my daughter. He said great great, "Well please make sure you show me who she is and make sure she knows who I am just in case she needs me". I wanna say I was looking forward to him looking out for Kanee, but now I am sure that he has sent in angel in his place to watch over her.
Remember that the Lord healeth thee of all thy wounds and He will comfort us in our weakest hours. If you need anything I am only a phone call away.

I am so deeply saddened by the news of Mr. Riddick's passing. During my years at NSU, I never met anyone who worked as dilligently and was respected as Mr. Riddick. My heart is heavy, but knowing that God will now take care of such a good man lightens the pain. You will be sorely missed, rest in peace Mr. Riddick.

Dear Riddick Family,

I write with a broken and heavy heart but I trust God, His timing, and what God allows. I pray that your faith offer you some comfort in this extremely difficult time.

Please know that "Mr. Riddick" as many affectionately referred to him leaves a legacy of kindness and dedication at NSU. I respected him highly and found him to be a man, a true man! An example for me and many others.

Though I wish I had another opportunity to tell him how special he was to me, I know that God has some special equipment he needs him to set up right now (like only Riddick can do)and I am sure that he is power walking around Heaven ensuring that the sound system is ready for the angels. I rest in that knowledge and pray for your peace of mind until we all meet again.

I am totally shocked and saddened by the passing of Mr. Riddick. He was always there in The English and Foreign Languages Department sharing a cup of coffee with me and Mrs. Gordon-White. Not only did he share coffee, but he also shared with me stories filled with laughter, information, and inspiration. I will truley and deeply miss him and his optimistic persona. He always made sure to keep a smile on his face and made sure to say hello to everyone. I pray God's blessings and peace be upon the Riddick family and I will never forget him at Norfolk State University.

Just this evening I learned of Cladwell's passing. I could not believe what I was hearing. Cladwell was an institution, the very heart and soul of Norfolk State--a true Spartan in every sense of the word--and he will be sorely missed. No one worked harder or more diligently than he did. And no one could tell a story quite like Cladwell could. I'll especially miss our sports talks over coffee. Some people you just don't replace--never can, never will. Cladwell was one such person. Rest in peace, my friend. My heartfelt prayers go out to the family and many friends that Cladwell knew through the years. May God be with you and yours, and may heaven smile upon you.

Dear Family of Cladwell Riddick,

Mr. Riddick will be deeply missed by me, the Department of Psychology, and all of his NSU family. Our success in the classroom was due to the unwavering dedication of Mr. Riddick in meeting all of our audio and video needs. He made things happen and he was always dependable. He helped to facilitate my adjustment to university life 20 years ago. I would have been lost in the classroom without him.

Whenever you saw Mr. Riddick, he was walking at superspeed; however, he always had time to stop, say a kind word, and give a strong hug. I have missed him since the start of this school year.

May memories of the man you loved bring you comfort in this time of sorrow.

With sympathy,
Joy A. Cooley
