I did not have the pleasure to know you, but I knew your dad and uncle Chris when we were all very young 17 or 18 . Things happen that we do not know why...one thing I am sure of is that you got a big hug from your dad when you exited this plane of living.
My prayers go out to the family . Erik Sr. was a blessing to this earth like wise his son...

Erik was a blessing to my life! He challenged me to be a better athlete, a better man, and a better friend! He always knew his priorities and knew how to remain true to his roots. I am and will be a better man for having known him! I am sad for the loss to you, his family! It is a tragedy to not have him anymore! My prayers and thoughts are you with you always!

To Erik's family and friends,
I only knew Erik for a very short time, but I knew he was special the first time I met him. I will cherish the talks we had about the events of the day, and I will remember the dedicated and professional way he worked with us. It was a blessing to know him.

I cannot speak of Erik in the past tense. He is and will always be my "sweetie pie." He shared with me a love of sushi, creativity and care for others that I had not found to such degree elsewhere. I loved him so much that my co-workers at Booz Allen were afraid to tell me of this loss as I was ill during this time.
Please know that I feel your pain, have been where you are now and wondered, as you must, if the hurt would ever ease. Hold fast to the warm memories of this young man who inspired so many with his quiet demeanor and loving spirit. He is now and forever with us.
I hold you close to my heart in prayer. Be blessed and find solace in the memory of your loved one. God bless!!!

Dear Erik's family and friends,
I did not know Erik, but I watched as he passed from the balcony of my hotel. I saw him heading for the finish line and then sadly, God decided to call him home. I have not been able to get him out of my mind. Just wanted you to know he looked happy and strong as he ran by. Keep that image of him in your mind--a strong and happy man who made it to the best finish line there is. I am so sorry for your loss.

Erik was an outstanding individual who touched the lives of so many people. His positive spirit and "can-do" attitude made him a joy to be around. His bright smile and polite demeanor will be missed around the office. I'm glad I got to know him.
