Coralee Brown Obituary

Coralee M. Brown NORFOLK - Coralee Marshall Brown, 81, of the 7000 block of Auburn Ave., entered into heaven's pearly gates Sept. 11, 2009. She was born Aug. 20, 1928, in New York City. Left to cherish precious memories are her daughter, Theresa Jones and a devoted son-in-law Randal Jones of Norfolk; one son, Luther Brown of New York City; and brother, Charles Young Jr. of New York City. In addition to her children, she is survived by daughters-in-law, Bennie Marshall of Chesapeake and Priscilla Jones of Monroe, Ga.; brother-in-law, Lester Ellison and sister-in-law, LaShall Ellison of Norfolk; eight grandchildren, John Marshall, Lowell Brown, Janina Brown, Jeffery Marshall (Kristy), Alan Jones, Raven Coleman, Shanikwa Coleman and Treana Jones; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Gospel Light Church of Christ (Holiness) by the Rev. George W. Thompson. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, with Chatman/E.A. Hughes Funeral Home in charge. www.eahughes.biz.
