Mayselle Grunawalt Obituary

Mayselle G. Grunawalt AHOSKIE - Mayselle Getz Grunawalt, 77, of the 100 block of N. Academy Street, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Roanoke Chowan Hospital. Mrs. Grunawalt was born Feb. 10, 1932, in Rockingham County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Glenn and Ruby Sites Getz. She was a retired factory worker. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Berniece Varner of Brandywine, W.Va., Janet Leary of South Mills, N.C., and Paula Armstrong of Ahoskie, N.C.; her sons, Steven George of Corpus Christi, Texas, Marvin George of Harrisonburg, Va., Allen Grunawalt of Bridgewater, Va., and Michael Grunawalt of Suffolk. She is also survived by a sister, Velma Brennamon of Pennsylvania; and a brother, Willard Getz of Arizona; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
