Floyd was an extraordinary musician and a consumate gentleman. It was my honor and pleasure to sing in his choir in 1979 and, upon returning to Norfolk in 1992, remembered me and treated me as if I were a friend who had never left. I often thought of him in the years hence and cherished our occasional musical encounters. The world has been much richer with the gift of his life and talents, and poorer with his passing. Rest In Peace, my friend. Heaven rejoices at your arrival.

Pat,
Nancy and I were so sorry to hear of Floyd's passing. He will certainly be very much missed in the music and masonic communities.
I consider that my successes in church music are the result of his teaching and mentoring. I learned so much from him as a musician and friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your children in this profound time of loss.

Pat,
There are no words that can possibly comfort you or your family at this time. Floyd will be missed by so many and remembered so lovingly. Our loss of this wonderful man is only HEAVENS gain. The Eastern Star will have yet another shining star to continue to look over us and guide us from above. We will lift you and your family in prayer.

Your family's loss is great but his life's accomplishments are also. Your father will stay with many in spirit forever.
My condolences,

Floyd will be greatly missed by all. What a wonderful, talented and kind man. It has been a joy to work with him as our interim choir director these last months at Wesley.

Pat, we will miss Floyd very much. When you look at the definition of gentleman there is a picyure of Floyd. Please except our deepest sympathies and love.
