Susana Barreda Obituary

Susana B. Barreda VIRGINIA BEACH - Susana Bulilan Barreda, 82, of the 1100 block of Gleaning Close, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009. A native of Tubigon, Bohol, Philippines, Susana was a retired teacher. She is survived by her husband, Regino B. Barreda; five daughters, Tita Ellorin and husband Edgardo of Virginia Beach, Sister Maria Dalisay of the Philippines, Maria Doris Patindol and husband Ondoy of Malaysia, Maria Estella and husband Horwood of England, and Maria Teresa Bernados and husband Jun of the Philippines; two sons, Jose Barreda and wife Marietta and Efren Barreda, all of the Philippines; 16 grandchildren; a brother, Nonilon Bulilan and wife Hermogina of the Philippines; sister-in-law, Luisa Barreda; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church with Fr. Luke Policicchio officiating. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday and Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service on Monday at 7 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

I will always remember Nanay Susan as a very sweet woman with that big smile on her face that illuminates the plce whenever she is around. Now she will be my guardian angel that will guide and smile at me from heaven.
I will pray for you Tatay and your entire family.
