Shirley Heath Obituary

Shirley A. Heath NORFOLK - Shirley A. Kirby Heath, 78, of Brooksville, Fla., died Sept. 25, 2009, in her home. She was born in Bluefield, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Samuel Harless Kirby and Myrtle Jane Browning. Shirley graduated from Kempsville High School, Class of 1950, and was a seamstress. Shirley is survived by her husband of 58 years, Eugene R. "Gene" Heath Sr.; her children, Sheila, Roger, Gary, Tim and Matt and their spouses; a brother, Ralph Kirby; sisters, Janie Walker, Nancy King, Evelyn Harrington and their spouses; 12 grandchildren, Jason, Tonya, Justin, Liz, Marty, Jesse, Alan, Adam, Summer, Kyle, Cody and Tyler; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, James and David. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by Pastor Keith Olivier. A reception will follow the burial at 221 Rodman Road, Norfolk, VA 23503. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hernando- Pasco Hospice, 12260 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville, FL 34613.
