Laurie Goodrich Obituary

Laurie Robin Goodrich VIRGINIA BEACH - Laurie Robin Goodrich passed into eternal life Sept. 26, 2009, at home peacefully with family and friends by her side. She leaves in this world the remembrance of all the lives she touched. We lose not this day a loving mother, but a wonderful and caring wife, sister and friend. Her grandchildren and puppies were her life. There are no words that can express the essence of this beautiful woman. She brought happiness and hope to all. Her smile and laughter will always be remembered - every memory never forgotten but cherished. Laurie will be sadly missed by all, but a reminder to never give up will remain in her favorite saying: "If I can do it, so can you." Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 20 years, Tim Goodrich; her beautiful daughters, Catherine Rose Cooper and Stephanie Kubacki; and her loving son, Jeffery Scott Newman, all of Virginia Beach; seven wonderful grandchildren; and her four-legged babies, Dempsey and Floyd. Laurie was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Rose Newman; grandson, Quillin A. Cooper; and sister, Deborah Newman. A memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home in Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the services in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 4416 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23452.
