Lonnie Clark Obituary

Lonnie Onimus Clark III VIRGINIA BEACH - Lonnie Onimus Clark III, 66, known to most as "Butch," passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. Butch was born in Parris Island, S.C., Aug. 13, 1943 to the late Dr. L.O. and Carolyn Clark Jr. He was a graduate of Virginia Beach High School and attended UNC at Chapel Hill. A member of the Princess Anne Country Club, Butch was a golfer who loved hunting and his many friends. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Marianne; his children, Laura, Lonnie and Moss; and brothers, Michael and Steve and their families. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at their residence, 112 Pinewood Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butch Clark Memorial Fund at Towne Bank.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I have many special and FUNNY memories of Butch that I will never forget. Especially our trips to Williamsburg for the golf tournaments. I pray you find the courage and stregnth to help you with your grief. Love - Deana

Please accept my sincere sympathies during this time of grief. Butch was a seasoned friend and freely encouraged and advised me on many occasions. He was not shy about speaking frankly, and frankly, I appreciated that. My memories of Butch make me smile and I hope any grief you have will give way to happier memories.
